All major cities in Australia are geared-up for last minute holiday packages, with Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast all popular. Within a few hours you can find yourself climbing the Harbour Bridge, shopping in Chapel Street or learning to surf at Burleigh Heads. Many hotel chains, from small to large, offer accommodation deals to fill any gaps.
Still close to home for your last minute holidays why not take a few more hours on a plane and head to New Zealand? Fly into Auckland and travel down and see the geothermal springs of Rotorua or go for the South Island and take in a few days skiing in Queenstown.
Asia is also a great travel destination for cheap holidays and last minute vacations. Weekend breaks in Singapore offer a great choice of things to do and places to party and Bali often has plenty of last minute holidays and deals available.
Europe has a multitude of options to pick from with last minute solutions available in Amsterdam, the Algarve in Portugal and the chance to party in Barcelona. Paris, Prague and Rome can also be added to the list for romance, drinking or sigh-seeing.
Just because you're not organised, doesn't mean it will cost a lot. Just be flexible and you'll find some great last minute holidays.
