Adelaide Transport Guide

Get around town either by bus, train or tram and ride the world-first ‘Tindo’ solar-powered, carbon-neutral electric bus. Hail a taxi in the CBD from several major hotspots, or hire a car and head to the Adelaide Hills or Barossa Valley with ease.

How to get around Adelaide

Get yourself a Metroticket and you can glide easily from train to tram and bus. Travel for free within the city along the famed tramline, but anywhere beyond North or South Terrace and you’ll need a ticket. The ‘Tindo’ solar-powered bus operates through the city centre and North Adelaide. For day trips to wine country and beyond, wander into any of the big-name rental companies in town and hire a car. Taxis are plentiful in the city and for those on the outskirts, a suburban passenger train frequently commutes to the city.
