As a tropical island, Bali's weather is consistently warm and humid, only experiencing 2 seasons a year.

Season and Clothing

Wet season: October to April

Yes the wet season in Bali is wet but that doesn't mean it's not a good time to go. Many travellers risk the rains and end up enjoying moments of sunshine. Generally speaking rain fall tends to be common in central Bali and within the mountains, while the Bukit Peninsula is much drier. While we wouldn't sweat the wet stuff, it's the sweat itself that many find unbearable with the wet season experiencing high levels of humidity. Air-conditioned accommodation during this time is a must.

Average temperatures: 26 - 32 degrees Celsius

Appropriate clothing Summer clothes, bathing suit and sandals
Don't forget Sunscreen, sunglasses and a raincoat

Dry season: May to September

Seasoned travellers tend to favour visiting Bali in the dry season, when the air is fresher, days are drier and humidity has decreased. During this time temperatures do decrease but only slightly, with swimming still ideal. The dry season is also prized to offer the best surfing conditions, however in the hinterland, rain still falls regularly.

Average temperatures: 23 - 31 degrees Celsius
