How to get around Samoa

For flexible travel around Samoa, hire cars are available – you’ll just need to validate your drivers license at the Land Transport Authority in Vaitele. A fun way to get around town is by the colourful local buses. There’s no stops, just stick your hand out to wave down a bus and ring the buzzer to disembark. Taxis are another good option as they are plentiful ,but not metered, so it’s best to agree on a price before your journey. To island hop, vehicle and passenger ferries travel between the islands of Upolu and Savai’i as well as domestic flights between Fagalii Airport and Faleolo Airport on Upolu and Maota Airport and Asua Airport on Savai’i.
