A ticket to the Cape Town International Jazz Festival is as exciting for performers as it is revellers. Style and music fuse for this weekend festival where the world’s best jazz performers collide with local favourites giving you an eclectic-yet-inspiring mix of jazz across five stages over the two days. Let the good times roll at Africa’s largest annual jazz festival and stick around for a while to explore the best of the ‘Rainbow Nation’.

Africa’s grandest gathering

Nearly 40,000 lovers of jazz come together for a weekend of electrifying music at the Cape Town Jazz Festival. Dubbed ‘Africa’s grandest gathering’, Cape Town Jazz Festival is the largest jazz festival in Africa and the forth largest in the world. The event features 40 acts, half South African and half international, across five stages throughout the two-day event. Past heavy hitters include Mos Def, Buena Vista Social Club, Lauryn Hill, Herbie Hancock and Ravi Coltrane. In addition to the sweet vibes, Cape Town Jazz Festival hosts a photographic exhibition said to capture the ‘essence of jazz in motion’, a fashion festival with textiles sourced from local suppliers and a golf day dedicated to community projects.

A trip to Cape Town Jazz Festival would be incomplete without exploring its one-of-a-kind host city. Cape Town is one of South Africa's most popular destinations with the winning tourism trifecta of beautiful beaches, iconic mountains and fantastic weather, not to mention the Cape Winelands nearby.
