Whichever island you choose to travel to on your Caribbean holidays, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Barbados is known as the 'Little England' of the Caribbean and anyone on their vacations should experience the local delicacies of flying fish and Mount Gay Rum. For those looking for cheap holidays, accommodation can be found in any local guest house.
The 'Spice Island' is Grenada and has some of the most beautiful beaches to be found on your Caribbean holiday packages and with three more huge rum distilleries, look out for the famous River Antoine rum with 75% alcohol content.
St Lucia has a number of opportunities for those looking for good holiday deals, including self-catering beachfront apartments 'Village Beach Cottages' and both the sulphur springs and the rain forest should be visited.
Outside of these islands, further travel can take you to Jamaica, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago and even Puerto Rico. Caribbean international holidays offer some of the most relaxing destinations for any traveller.
As more of the islands open up for backpackers and budget travellers, the only thing to avoid on your Caribbean holidays is storm season.

VISIT Miami - Ocho Rios, Jamaica - Grand Cayman, George Town - Miami
5 night Western Caribbean cruise sailing onboard Carnival Destiny. Crystal-clear waters, wonderful shopping, beautiful beaches and water sports are all part of the fun on this 5 Day Western Caribbean cruise.
Miami is an international mecca with a colourful skyline and trend-setting culture. Claiming its place as a truly international city, you can feel Miami vibrate with the energies of different cultures coming together to revel in the beautiful ocean scenery and near-perfect tropical weather.
Whether you're taking in the sights at a South Beach cafe, browsing the open-air shops of Bayside Marketplace or enjoying "un cortadito" in Little Havana, Miami is a melting pot for virtually anyone.
Grand Cayman, kissed by sparkling, turquoise waters, is a dream come true for water sports enthusiasts. You can snorkel with stingrays, go scuba diving, sail a catamaran, take in some sport fishing, or just mellow out along the powder-soft sand of the magnificent Seven Mile Beach. While you're there, don't forget to visit Hell, which is devilishly popular with senders of postcards
Originally called "Los Chorreos" by the Spanish in 1657, Ocho Rios, once a small banana and fishing port, has become the cruise ship capital of Jamaica. Dunn's River Falls, a 600-foot natural staircase of cascading water is the most famous attraction in Ocho Rios.
For sheer natural beauty, you can't surpass Shaw Park Botanical Gardens, which offers 32 acres of indigenous trees, flowers and shrubs, as well as picturesque streams and waterfalls. In addition, you'll also find plenty of opportunities for diving, sailing and golfing.
