Europe Holidays

A Europe holiday doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg, you can get there on the cheap and stay in cool digs for next to nicks. Amsterdam is an awesome place to visit with scenic landscapes and numerous attractions. Act like a local and bike everywhere; pedal up to windmills, cycle to clog shops, cheese factories, the Van Gogh Museum or the haunting house of Anne Frank – you'll save money and get some fresh air and exercise at the same time. When you're too tired to from all that pedalling, hit the pub for a cold Heineken, be warned though, happy hour can last until the next day here.

If you're looking for some crazy adventures, you'll find plentu of it on a European holiday. A bungee jump off The Verzasca Dam in Switzerland aka James Bond style (Golden Eye) will see you freefall 220m - so make sure you pack your nerves of steel. Still in Switzerland there is some mad white water rafting action to be had, the Grand Canyon Gorge on the Rhein is one of the best places with class III-IV rapids while the Lutchine River is the top spot with class III-IV + rapids.

Holiday in Europe and immerse yourself in history and culture you won't find anywhere else in the world. Castles and ruins dating back hundreds of years offer jaw dropping views as well as ghostly stories of battles, murder and mayhem. Dunluce Castle in Northern Ireland was thought to be constructed around the 1600s and according to legend part of it fell into the sea (the kitchen) taking the kitchen staff with it, its eerie remains still stand today. Germany also offers some great ruins that are worth rambling through, Rheinfels Castle at St Goar on the Rhine is 500 years old and you can climb through its underground tunnels where explosives would be stored ready to blast surprise invaders.

An Italy holiday is an exhilarating experience that you won't forget in a hurry.Bypass the tourist crowd by scooting around on a vesper to all the must-see attractions like the Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Pantheon, Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Ruins of Pompeii to name a few. Art lovers need to head to Ravenna between Venice and Ancona for stunning Byzantine architecture, mosaics and tombs. Throughout Italy you'll find car-free cobblestone streets that invite you to pull up a pew in an outdoor café, relax with an espresso, a gelato or slice of pizza and just people watch.

If you love eye popping architecture, world renowned artwork, and champagne is your drink of choice then a France holiday is perfect for you. The Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Champs Elyse need no introduction but after you have done the essential tourist, trail escape the hustle and bustle of Paris and head to Normandy for soaring sea cliffs, fresh orchards in the countryside and home-made cheeses you can devour all day.

For an adrenaline rush that is second to none go running with the bulls on your Spain holiday. Alumencar situated on the Costa Tropical has near perfect weather all year round for horse riding, mountain biking, as well as any number of water sports including wind surfing, kayaking, scuba diving and in winter there is skiing and snowboarding to look forward to. Granada is one of the few places in Spain where you can still get free tapas with your drinks – a great place to save some money.

Grab a friend or some mates and get ready for a blast on a UK holiday. Soho is a definite stop on the trail; it has a party atmosphere that goes all night with pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants and all night cafes. The Camden Street markets are fab for fashion, books and food while Oxford Street shopping is second to none - it has everything from big department stores to quirky boutiques.
