Day 1 Cape Town
Arrive Cape Town and transfer to your hotel. Meet your guide at 6:30pm for a tour briefing. Optional sightseeing available.
Day 2 Cape Town
Day at leisure or enjoy an optional sightseeing tour.
Day 3 Cape Town - Stellenbosch
Depart for the Cape Winelands, stopping at Paarl en-route. Continue to the university town of Stellenbosch and embark on a walking tour.
Day 4 Stellenbosch - Oudtshoorn
After breakfast, travel to Oudtshoorn via Route 62. Visit a brandy distillery in Robertson.
Day 5 Oudtshoorn - Plettenberg Bay
Visit the Cango Caves and an ostrich farm. Continue over the Outeniqua Pass towards the coast, stopping at the Knysna Lagoon and the Heads for photo opportunities.
Day 6 Plettenberg Bay - Port Alfred
Travel along the Garden Route to the Storms River Mouth in the Tsitsikamma National Park.
Day 7 Port Alfred - Coffee Bay
After breakfast, enjoy a boat cruise along the scenic Kowie River (weather permitting). Depart for Coffee Bay, via Nelson Mandela's birthplace of Qunu.
Day 8 Coffee Bay
Enjoy a full day at leisure or take advantage of the many optional activities on offer in this area such as hikes, snorkelling or fishing.
Day 9 Coffee Bay - Durban
Travel to Durban via the South Coast
Day 10 Durban - Hluhluwe
Embark on a short orientation tour of Durban and travel up the north coast to Hluhluwe, stopping for some leisure time at the World Heritage Site of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park. In the late afternoon enjoy a closed vehicle game drive in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park.
Day 11 Hluhluwe - Mpumalanga
Travel north through the beautiful Kingdom of Swaziland to the Mpumalanga region of South Africa.
Day 12 Mpumalanga
Enjoy a guided closed vehicle game drive in the legendary Kruger National Park exploring the wonderful flora and fauna and searching for the Big Five. An optional full day game drive in an open safari vehicle is available.
Day 13 Mpumalanga
Head for the Panorama Route, stopping at Pilgrim's Rest. Visit the Three Rondavels, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Wonderview, Mac Mac Falls and the Blyde River Canyon. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon.
Day 14 Mpumalanga - Johannesburg
After an optional nature drive, travel to Johannesburg via the picturesque village of Dullstroom.
Day 15 Mpumalanga - Johannesburg
The tour ends today after breakfast. Optional sightseeing tours can be organised if required. The day is yours to explore in Johannesburg before heading to the 4-star Reef Hotel for 2 nights.
The 4-star Reef Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Johannesburg's City Hall and The Apartheid Museum. It has a bar with views of Johannesburg and modern rooms with contemporary decor. Reef Hotel's restaurant uses seasonal products to prepare South African and international cuisine. The bar offers South African wines and international champagne, and there is a cafe for affordable meals. Guests can relax at the wellness centre, where massages can be requested.
After two nights in Johannesburg you will be transferred to Pretoria so you can board the Blue Train for Cape Town.

On the Southbound trip, the train departs from Pretoria main train station at 8:30am and arrives in Cape Town train station at 12 noon the following day. En route to Cape Town there is a stopover and excursion in Kimberley, where we take a step back in time to the days of the diamond rush.
Upon arrival into Cape Town, your South African Adventure ends when you disembark the train.
