If you're interested in Japanese culture, becoming a TEFL teacher is the perfect way to really explore it. It's the ideal way to get involved in Japanese life: you'll be well respected, interact with locals, take part in extra-curricular activities and work closely with students and local teachers. One of the most tempting placements overseas, you can earn 250,000 Yen (AU$3175*) a month with plenty of school and public holidays. This means there's plenty of time and money for sake, sushi and exploration after a hard day at work. Ready to go but not sure how long you can go for? Not a problem! Contracts can vary from just 2 months to 12 months depending on when you depart.
All you need to do is check you meet the eligibility requirements, complete our 140 hour Combined TEFL course and then we'll put you in touch with our partners in Japan to get your job organised. After you're done teaching in Japan you can use your internationally recognised TEFL certificate and new found skills in hundreds of countries worldwide.
