Q. What fares will Student Flights price beat?
A. Our "Take a Mate for Free" Guarantee applies to airfares that originate in/depart from Australia.
Q. Who will Student Flights accept airfare quotes from?
A. Airlines, other Australian travel agencies and Australian registered businesses and websites.
Q. What does available mean?
A. The airfare must be available and able to be booked by the general public when you bring it to us. Available means that the identical airfare you have received a quote for is currently saleable and able to be booked in the same booking class, with the same routing, for the same number of passengers, on the same date and at the same time. Fares available due to membership of a group or corporate entity or subscription to a closed user group are excluded.
Q. What if I want to travel on a different date than on my original quote?
A. The price beat applies only for travel on the same dates and flights.
Q. When can I ask Student Flights to price beat?
A. Your airfare quote must be in writing and must be presented to us prior to booking. It does not apply to written quotes presented after booking.
Q. What if I want to use this price for my friends to book?
A. The quote must reflect the number of passengers looking to book as per the quote. Of course, if we can book everyone at the same low price we'll do so.
Q. Will Student Flights beat quotes from foreign websites or for travel that originates outside Australia.
A. No.
Q. What happens if Student Flights beats the price I have been quoted?
A. If the qualifying criteria are met we will beat your airfare quote by $1 and we will issue you with a $20 voucher after your booking is paid in full.
Q. Does every passenger qualify for the $20 voucher?
A. Every passenger travelling on a paid ticket will be issued a voucher.
Q. Can I use the $20 voucher on my current booking that my consultant is price beating?
A. Not unless you are booking other products with us apart from your airfare booking (eg. hotels, hostels, travel insurance, rail tickets etc). If you are only booking an airfare with us, the voucher can only be used for future travel booked in any Australian Student Flights store within 12 months from the date of issue. On redemption only one voucher per passenger may be used per booking.
Q. Can I redeem my $20 voucher online on studentflights.com.au?
A. No, you can only redeem your voucher for future travel in an Australian Student Flights store.
Q. What happens if I have already booked and then find a cheaper price for the same flight but I have not paid in full?
A. Student Flights will only price beat where your quote is presented to us prior to booking. Of course, your Student Flights consultant will be happy to rebook on the cheaper fare if it is available at the time you are travelling. Cancellation or change fees may apply to your original booking.
Q. What happens if I have already booked and paid in full and then find a cheaper price for the same flight?
A. Student Flights will only price beat where your quote is presented to us prior to booking. Of course, your Student Flights consultant will be happy to rebook on the cheaper fare if it is available at the time you are travelling. Cancellation or change fees may apply to your original booking.
Q. What if my Student Flights consultant is unable to beat the airfare I have been quoted?
A. If we are required to beat your airfare quote and we don't then you get an identical flight for a mate for free. Your consultant will do everything they can to beat the airfare you have been quoted. If the qualifying criteria are met we will beat that price by $1 and we will issue you with a $20 voucher once your booking is paid in full. If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive an identical flight for a mate free of charge. Q. How do I get my mate's free flight if Student Flights is required to beat my airfare quote and doesn't?
A. If the qualifying criteria are met and your consultant does not beat your quoted price you will receive your mate's flight free of charge. If this applies to you, or if you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact the relevant State Manager as follows:

Q. When can my mate use the free flight?
A. Your mate's free flight will be identical to the flight you have asked us to price beat and must be booked within 1 business day of your flight being booked.
Q. Who books and pays for the free flight?
A. Student Flights will book and pay for your mate's free flight.
Q. When will Student Flights book my mate's free flight?
A. Your mate's free flight will be booked by us within 1 business day of your price beat booking being paid in full.
Q. Can I be reimbursed for a flight I have booked elsewhere?
A. No. We do not reimburse you for flights you have purchased elsewhere, nor do we provide you with cash or vouchers to the value of the free flight.
Q. When do I need to claim my mate's free flight?
A. You must make your free flight claim prior to flying or within 7 days of your quote not being beaten (whichever occurs first).
Q. Can I change or cancel my mate's free flight?
A. Once your mate's free flight is booked the booking may only be dealt with by your mate. The fare is non-refundable and normal change fees and conditions will apply.
Q. What happens if there is no availability to book my mate's free flight on the same flight?
A. If there are no seats available for your mate on the same flight we will issue you with a voucher to the value of the price beat fare we have booked for you. The same conditions apply to this voucher as for the $20 voucher issued on a price beat.
