Public Holidays

So with public holidays you work out where you're going by the month of the year. Sounds sensible? Well, it can prove to deliver some interesting vacations.

Taking January first you can jump to Edinburgh to kick off the month and celebrate Hogmanay only the way the Scottish know how. Or stay closer to home for cheaper accommodation offers and enjoy a mix of horse-racing and music at the Gold Coast Magic Millions or Big Day Out.

February is party time with calendar holiday packages to the Venice carnival or the more famous version in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. The best holiday deals for March would take you to Dublin to see how the Irish celebrate St. Patricks day.

April is in the heart of spring time for the Northern Hemisphere and time to start thinking about shaping up. So if you're feeling fit head to the beautiful city of Boston in North America and join the 26-mile Boston Marathon. Hope over the Atlantic after that and try the London version.

Travel to Indianapolis for cheap holidays in May to experience the roaring noise of the Indy 500. Hang around until July to enjoy American Independence day. Or respect another Independence day in the Maldives as you lay on an isolated beach.

For August pick Spain's La Tomatina festival and then head to Munich in Germany to immerse yourself in the Oktoberfest. Which is mainly held in September. Go figure.

Finally back to Australia for November's Melbourne Cup, another premier racing event to enjoy from your calendar holidays.
