When the world’s your oyster - exotic places, diverse landscapes and fascinating ecosystems offer endless opportunities for adventure seekers and with one of our adventure tours we’ll help you discover the sheer exhilaration of adventure travel.

Absorb the hill tribe vibe by trekking through the mountainous regions around Chiang Mai, Thailand. Follow in the footsteps of the Incas, with the four-day Inca Trail to the legendary Machu Picchu. Revel in the sense of accomplishment after scaling a Guatemalan volcano. Alternatively frolic with sloths, toucans and caimans during an Amazon jaunt in Brazil.

Celebrate water activities with a boat expedition such as a felucca ride down the Nile in Egypt, a sailing trip around the Cayes off the Belizean mainland or a cruise around the South Pacific to discover reefs just asking for a quality snorkel.

If monumental ancient stuff is your thing then grab a tuk tuk to explore the city of Angkor in Cambodia and its centrepiece Angkor Wat, beeline to the Giza Plateau in Egypt to stare directly into the eyes of a Sphinx and chamber into the inner sanctum of the Great Pyramid or become over-awed with the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza in Mexico.

    Day 1 Munich
You will need to arrive today at Camping Thalkirchen in Munich between 8am and 10pm to check-in. A Topdeck team will be on site to answer any questions you may have about the next few days or the festival itself. This afternoon, if you have time, you may like to head into the town centre by train to see the Old Town Hall, Church of our Lady and Munich's hugely iconic Glockenspiel in Marienplatz. You also have this evening free to do as you please; why not try some delicious pork knuckles and sauerkraut at the famous Hofbrauhaus?
    Day 2 Munich
After a delicious, fully-cooked breakfast you have a full day to enjoy this world-renowned festival of beer. What first began as a horse race in a field to celebrate the wedding of Bavarian Prince Ludwig in the beginning of the 19th century has subsequently grown into the world’s largest festival, attracting upwards of six million visitors every year! Today is your first chance to see what it is all about; and there is more to do here than just drink beer. In between the many beer halls there are hundreds of stalls serving local delicacies that the Germans have perfected over the centuries to help absorb the beer, such as large bread pretzels, filling ‘knödel’ (bread or potato dumplings) and of course the best of the German ‘würst’. There are fairgrounds with numerous rides and rollercoasters that cater to kids and others reluctant to grow up. And of course there is the beer. Millions of litres of it in fact; over the next two weeks some seven million litres of beer will be consumed in the various brewery-run tents. So order yourself one of the colossal one-litre glasses of beer, known in the local dialect as a ‘maß’ (pronounced ‘muss’ and translates as a ‘measure’) get ready to sing along with the obligatory ‘oompah band’ and enjoy what is likely to be one of the most memorable days of your life you never remember. Prost!
    Day 3 Munich
Today the day is yours to do as you please. This is a good chance to try out some of the different beer halls you may have missed yesterday - after all there are many more here than just the travellers' favourite Hofbräuhaus. For those looking to take it a bit easier there is a whole different world of fun going on outside the tents. Of course, if you wanted to head in to town for a spot of sightseeing, the city centre is only a short S-Bahn-ride away.
    Day 4 Munich
As all good things must come to an end, this is also sadly true of our Oktoberfest experience. Following another included breakfast it’s time to say goodbye to Oktoberfest and newly-made friends. At least for another year that is!

Not built for the purpose of accommodating curious travellers, a visit inside one of the pyramids is hot, humid and not recommended for the claustrophobic! For a real Arabian experience, perhaps opt to hire a camel for a trot across the sands of Giza.

what are people saying about tours?

Having not travelled too much I wasn't sure if a tour would be be my cup of tea. Oh how I was wrong, we had an extremely packed 1 week on the west coast of USA and saw some amazing things including The Grand Canyon and Monument Valley, and the small group was filled with great people, very down to earth and loads of fun. Highly recommended!
