Melbourne Airport (MEL), also known to the locals as Tullamarine Airport, is just 23 kms from cosmopolitan Melbourne, Australia. Known for shopping, great food, shopping, AFL, shopping, theatre and cricket, Melbourne is the cultural hub of Australia.

There are four terminals at Melbourne airport. T2 is for international flights, T1 and T3 for domestic flights, and T4 for budget domestic flights.

If you are driving, you can get to Melbourne Airport (MEL) via the Tullamarine Freeway and CityLink. You can also pick up the Skybus Shuttle from all terminals into Melbourne's CBD, or just grab one of the hotel shuttle buses. There are lots of hire cars available from the arrivals areas of each terminal.

Melbourne Avalon Airport (AVV) is located just outside of Melbourne, Australia and is mainly used by JetStar Airways as a cheap way to get into Melbourne. You can easily get to Melbourne Avalon Airport from either the West Gate Bridge or from Geelong.

To get into Melbourne, hire a cab to Lara Station and then take a train into the CBD. Of course you could also head into Geelong for a cheaper place to bunk down while you explore Melbourne.

There are lots of shuttle buses between Melbourne Avalon Airport (AVV) and Southern Cross Coach Station in Melbourne. You can also pick up a car hire at the airport to give you a bit more freedom.
