Panama City Airport (PTY) is located in Panama City, in Panama. Just in case you get to complacent that there are too many Panamas, it is also referred to as Tocumen International Airport. This is the main place to join cruises up the famous Panama Canal.
Between the airport and the city centre is a 17.5 km stretch of toll road, which takes about 20 minutes on a good day. You can also take the scenic route via Tocumen – allow an hour or so for that one.
Taxi cab and bus services are used to get you from the Panama City Airport (PTY) to downtown Panama City (just make sure you pre-purchase your taxi ticket at the Airport before you get in the cab). Hotels also offer shuttle buses from the hotel to Panama City Airport.
