» Back to airports in Sri Lanka
Colombo Airport (CMB) is known as the Bandaranaike International Airport and also sometimes as the Katunayake International Airport (just to confuse unwary Aussie travellers).
Colombo is Sri Lanka's former capital, with the capital now being Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. Katunayake, where the airport is located, is 35 Km to the north of Colombo.
To get into Colombo from Colombo Airport (CMB) you can grab a bus, pick up one of the hotel shuttle buses to your hotel or take a cab.
