Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST) is one of the busiest airports in the world courtesy of the 26 million people (give or take one or two) who use it annually. The airport is located in the Yesilkoy area of Istanbul, Turkey and is named for the founding president of the country.
The airport has three terminals – Terminal A, B, and C which are for international, domestic, and cargo travel.
To get from Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST) to the city centre you can take the light rail service, airport shuttle service, municipality buses, taxi, or simply hire a car. If you choose to drive there are three roads to the airport – the Trans European Motorway, the coastal road, and the D-100 international road.
