Auckland on a budget by Kristen Whitson
New Zealand won't disappoint, even on any budget. Here are just a few things you can do on North Island that won't break the bank.
Start by browsing the local arts at Auckland's Victoria Park Markets. You never know what goodies you'll find to bring home. Grab yourself a bite to eat or even just a coffee while walking around The Viaduct where you will find all the trendy cafes, bars and restaurants. Once you have recharged your batteries, take a lovely stroll along the coast to Mount Eden and take in the views of the city. It’s a fair hike but well worth it. If walking isn't your cup of tea, take the ferry over to Devonport, tickets are approximately $10. It’s only 20min away but you will be able to take in the fantastic views of Mount Victoria, and enjoy a drink in this quaint little village.
