Paul's American adventure - Part 2
Greetings from Vegas! I made it! All by myself too. Since I was joining my friends Nicola and Renee in Las Vegas, I had to make the daunting trip over here on my own. This meant a 12 and a half hour flight with no card games or even any conversation - not to mention having to transfer airport terminals for a short stopover in LA. It all worked out very smoothly in the end though - no lost bags or missed flights. Welcome to Vegas baby!
Now that I'm here, I can see why Vegas is often referred to as quite a strange place. Personally I love it, but I can understand the haters. As you fly in over the desert it just kind of pops up out of no where - glowing in the distance. What brought us here though (and a lot of other people I'm sure) wasn't the poker machines, but the party. And party we did! Check out the view from Moon, the rooftop penthouse nightclub at Palms Casino. Amazing doesn't even come close! I definitely recommend a visit. My pics didn't do it justice though so check out one from their website:
If the clubs aren't really your thing, a show is another great option. There's one for every taste too, whether you like magic, circuses or Celine (as in Dion). Even just wandering the casinos is an experience in itself! To be honest, we ran out of time (and energy) to get through all of the things on our list.
Well that's where we're up to at the moment. Still recovering! We're now off to pick up our convertible mustang (!!!!) for a road trip from Memphis to Miami. Remember, you can keep up to date with our shenanigans here on the blog as well as following me via:

Croatia's best kept secret (hint - there's no beach)
Most of us have swooned over photos of Hvar’s pristine bays; have dreamt of days shucking oysters and partying under the stars in Dubrovnik; and have made an enquiry or two into the partying sun storm that is Yacht Week.
Killer views in US national parks
We all know that the USA can get a bit carried away boasting all things ‘bigger’ and ‘better’, but when it comes to the epic natural scenery, they’ve really nailed it. Enormous parts of the nation are protected under national park status, preserving their unique features.
