The Milford Track is renowned for its dramatic alpine scenery, clear rivers and ancient beech forest. The day walk explores the first section of this classic track as far as the Clinton Hut. Board a luxury glass-roofed coach in Queenstown and travel along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through rolling countryside to Te Anau. Following a short coach transfer to Te Anau Downs, board a catamaran for a one hour lake cruise to the head of Lake Te Anau and the start of the Milford Track.

From Glade Wharf, the track follows the Clinton River to Glade House for lunch. A specialist nature guide leads a 4-5 hour leisurely walk on a gentle gradient (11km return) through forest, grassy flats and wetlands with a maximum of 12 walkers per guide. There is comprehensive commentary by the nature guide pointing out native birds and plants and detailing the regions history. Following the guided walk, return by catamaran and then by luxury coach to Queenstown.
