The happiest place on earth

Who can resist a visit to the happiest place in the world? Not many according to statistics, with the Florida theme park constantly ranking as the most visited theme park in the world. And there's a lot to visit; 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, 24 themed resorts, 5 golf courses and 2 spas and fitness centres. All up the park spans 30,080 acres. Now that's one big happy place!

The central focus of the park is of course the four main theme parks. The original is Magic Kingdom where Mickey and Minnie have paraded down Main Street U.S.A since 1971. Then there is the futuristic Epcot, twice the size of Magic Kingdom and full of world pavilions, space ships and exotic exhibitions.

Hollywood is also present in the all-encompassing resort at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The theme part is dedicated to show business and Hollywood's golden era of the 1930s and 1940s. Within the park you can walk the streets of New York, peak behind the scenes of some of your favourite animated movies and ride the thrilling Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Sunset Boulevard.

The last of the parks is Disney's Animal Kingdom, the largest single Disney theme park in the world. Its large space is dedicated to animal conservation, housing a wide range of species from all around the world including swamp wallabies, macaws, elephants, lions, gorillas and pythons. The park also has a dinosaur themed area called DinoLand U.S.A which features rides and various attractions related to the extinct creatures.
