Music greats, pintxos and peaks

The International Music Festival of Bilbao – aka BBK – is situated in the Basque region of Spain and features some of the world’s best pop and rock performers each and every year. Playing on top of a hill overlooking the green mountains and situated near the old industry town of Bilbao famed for the Guggenheim Museum – BBK is a three-day end-of-European summer festival that ticks all the right boxes.

Student Flights can arrange tours to BBK that will have you eating at the best digs in Bilbao, making new friends at hostels and navigating the festival like a pro. Nearly a teenager, Bilbao BBK Live is held in a complex built specifically for it on Kobetamendi Hill and has been attracting over 100,000 people for the past few years. Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Coldplay, Blondie, Garbage, Momford & Sons, Depeche Mode and Placebo are amongst the greats to have grace the hill in the past.
