You will never experience a festival quite like Bestival in the Isle of Wight. Inspiring peace, love and dancing…. and fancy dress. The festival once broke the Guinness World Record for the most people in fancy dress at one event! As well as some of the best line-ups in Europe, festival-goers are treated to an ever-increasing range of activities and fun things to do. Visit the inflatable church, wishing tree, swamp shack, the Bollywood tent or enjoy a sweet treat at the tea and cake tent.

Fancy dress fest!

The music is one thing, but it’s the carnival atmosphere of Bestival that makes it so unique. Bestival is the best party you could ever imagine! Held at the end of summer, Bestival marks the end to the UK Festival season. Since 2004, Bestival has been held at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight, and it has been blowing festival-goer’s minds. Roll up for some of the best and biggest artists in the world- think Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Beastie Boys, Amy Winehouse, Bjork and The Cure. Hit the inflatable church, try your hand at knitting lessons, catch an act on the boat shaped stage or visit the festival forest, Whatever you choose, remember everything at Bestival is a party!

Staying on site? You’re in for a treat! Go old-school and bring then pitch your own tent. Alternatively, hire a podpad- a lockable plywood structure with beds, or go all out and enjoy your own king-sized bed in a safari tent. Get into the festival spirit and soak up the atmosphere. Be sure to take a snap of yourself with the world-famous disco ball, which stands three storeys high and is covered in two and half thousand mirrored tiles.

  • Don’t worry if you forget to pack something- you can buy anything you will ever need at the on-site festival shops. Think extra bedding, camping goods or pharmacy supplies.

  • Newport is the closest town if you need a break from the party. Catch the shuttle bus, which runs every 15 minutes, and enjoy the local shops or cafes.
