Sigur Ros, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Florence + The Machine, Beirut and a whole load of other awesome acts are heading to an old Polish airbase for Open’er 2016. Are you? This four-day music, art and NGO festival is yet another great reason to visit Poland. Get ready for mornings at the beach, bunker discos and underground shows actually underground.

Party at night, sleep in the day

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Florence + The Machine are set to feature at Open’er 2016, a quirky music and arts festival located in an old airbase in Poland’s Gdynia area on the Baltic coastline. Enjoy big acts on the main stage, try Now Stage for the more unusual and reserve Beat Stage to fulfill your electro needs. This is a great chance to witness the latest Polish fashion and bands with extreme names (eg. Eltron John, Bipolar Bears and Vavamuffin). Head to the periphery for food stalls a-plenty as well as those bunker discos for later on.

Don’t panic on missing the first act of the day at Open’er where the festival doesn’t start until 4pm each day (and goes to 5am!). If you are up early, join fellow revelers as they head to Gdynia’s nearby beaches to have a soak in prep for another big night. Don’t forget to check out the arts scene, thriving with films, documentaries, local theatre troups and giant installations (these will be hard to miss).

When is it?

29th June 2016 to 02nd July 2016
