Frites and mayonnaise with a side of electronic music anyone? Tomorrowland has become one of the biggest music festivals in the world since starting in 2005. Held conveniently (for Western Europe-based adventures) in Belgium, it is held in the town with a name none other than Boom north of Brussels and south of Antwerp. Previous years have seen tickets sell-out within seconds of going on-sale plus Brussels Airlines scheduling an additional 140 flights to get everyone to the party!

Give into the night...

EDM lovers are today more spoilt for choice with Tomorrowland organisers now delivering the festival to three continents. However the original Tomorrowland, which turned 15 in 2015, remains amongst many one of the best festivals for the genre in the word. This three-day festival is not small, attracting hundreds of thousands of revellers to Boom (really) in Belgium each year. It's so popular the festival's anthem came in at number 5 on the country's music charts in 2010. Oh yeah and in 2013 tickets sold out in one second. Expect a diverse line-up of underground music as well as the likes of heavy hitters like Fat Boy Slim, Dave Clark, Paul van Dyk, David Guetta and Pendulum. The tagline for 2016 is "we unite".

Tomorrowland features all kinds of electronica Djs, producers and artists over 15 stages and amazing decorations ranging from explosive butterflies to flower fields and gushing waterfalls. Belgium is perhaps best known for chocolate, diamonds, being a founding member of The European Union, being Europe's historical "battleground" along with the aforementioned frites and mayonnaise. French and Dutch speakers make up the majority of the population with small German-speaking communities in the East. Transport is great, you could easily go onwards to The Netherlands, France, Germany etc afterwards and Boom is accessible with multiple airlines being organised to get people to the event.
