Madrid’s Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD) is Spain’s biggest and busiest airplane hub. The airport is located in the region of Barajas, about 15 kilometres northeast of downtown Madrid, and is jointly named after the first Prime Minister of the country. To get from the airport to downtown, choose from either the Madrid Metro service or EMT bus service. The airport is also linked by high-speed rail to the train station of Madrid and offers an express bus service too. EMT also offers a night bus service for later arrivals and departures.
