First trip overseas? Thailand.
Dream destination? Colombia.
Your top travel tip? Always do a walking tour on the first day in a new city to get your bearings of where everything is. This way you can navigate your way around town for the remaining time spent there much easier.
What do you always take with you? A deck of playing cards.

First trip overseas?France
Dream destination?Iceland
Your top travel tip?I love getting a physical map of every new place I go. I mark off where I've been and recommendations of restaurants or things to see. It really helps you gain your bearings and it's a great souvenir. Even better if there's a hop-on-hop-off bus tour - the lazy way to take in the sights!
What do you always take with you?A water bottle, dioralyte, some portable speakers and of course my camera!

Emily Rogers

emily rogers
Consultant

First trip overseas?Fiji in 2008 with the family
Dream destination?Canada and Alaska - as long as I can see the Northern Lights
Your top travel tip?Decide what is most important to you and build your holiday around that. If you care more about the destination than the flight there then there's nothing wrong with a cheap-o flight as long as it gets you there in once piece. If you're happy to sleep in a 32 bed dorm because it means you get to go on the tour to see a once in a lifetime experience then it's probably worth it. Spend the money on the things that mean the most to you.
What do you always take with you?I always have a pen with me. For forms on the flights, your train pass, giving out your phone number - you'll always need one and no one else will have one handy.
