A Trafalgar Tour through Britain by consultant Amanda Spann
Student Flights’ Amanda Spann experiences a Trafalgar Tour through Britain. Amanda visits Stonehenge, Liverpool, Dublin, Bath, and Oxford. The highlight of the tour was the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Amanda, tell us about your vacation.
Trafalgar Tours is a 1st class touring company that I can highly recommend. I booked the 12 Day Britain & Ireland Tour and travelled in August. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about all the cities and towns we visited, and the history of the countries. The tour was not fast paced - I felt like we had enough time at each stop to see the main sights. I loved that we were given a road map, and each morning our tour director would point out where we would be going for the day. All breakfasts were included in the tour, along with some dinner.
We got to visit all the main attractions such as Stonehenge, Liverpool and where the Beatles started, Dublin, Bath and Oxford.
The highlight was of course the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. What a wonderful performance with so much talent. The Tattoo is in such a beautiful setting at the Castle as the sun sets. Jets fly over and fireworks are released to symbolise the start of the show. Trafalgar had secured us prime location seats to see the Tattoo. It is always a proud moment when you get to see a marching band from your home country perform! Be aware though, the show is outdoors, and does go ahead rain, hail or shine (lucky for me the weather was fine).
A fantastic tour for those wanting to see the highlights of Britain & Ireland - Trafalgar were fantastic!
