Best places to let loose in the USA
The USA loves to party! If you’re up for an American trip and partying is high on your agenda, we’ve got the lowdown on where to head for some epic nights out to remember (or not remember?). Get those party vibes a vibin' - this is where the party's at.
New York City
Bright lights, big city - the city that never sleeps has it all. Whether you’re into glam Manhattan clubs with out of this world-cocktails, or grungy Brooklyn hipster hangs with craft beers on tap, you’ll find it all in NYC. Head to Club Cielo in the Meatpacking District for some seriously cool hip hop music, top DJ’s and friendly vibes.
If it’s a party you're after, Miami won’t fail to disappoint! The city comes to life after the sun goes down, and you can dance until dawn every night. Bustling South Beach is a good place to start, with dance clubs, cocktail lounges, and dive bars galore, serving up beers, cocktails and good times to bronzed party goers and the occasional celeb or two.
Super-cool New Orleans has it’s own distinctive party vibe. Eating, drinking and music are widely celebrated in this fascinating city, with countless hedonistic festivals and celebrations all year long, including the legendary Mardi Gras. Embrace the heavy blend of cultural influences that flow through the city streets - drink Bourbon and dance the night away to Jazz, Blues and Reggae music on Frenchmen Street, or head to the French Quarter and party at some of the historic pubs and clubs on Bourbon Street.
Texas’s capital city and self-proclaimed ‘Live Music Capital of the World’ is a laid-back college town brimming with hippy charm. Even if you can’t get yourself there for one of the city’s famous music festivals (South by Southwest or the Austin City Limits Festival), you’ll still find a buzzing live music scene every night of the week. Gorge yourself on amazing, affordable food at one of Austin’s many food trucks, head to a brew pub to sample some of the local craft beers, before heading to the ‘Red River’ district to dance the night away to live music.

Legendary Vegas is the ultimate 24-hour party town. You’ve heard the expression ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’? It evolved with good reason! This is where people come to let go and lose themselves in the happy-go-lucky, glittery fantasy world of casinos, endlessly-flowing drinks and luxury resorts. The Strip is where it’s at here, and you won’t have to look very far to find cheap drinks and good times.
Want to party with the stars? Rub shoulders with movie execs? This is the place to be. LA’s varied nightlife scene will see you hitting clubs and bars in Hollywood, enjoying the city views from rooftop lounges in the Valley, and kicking back over a sunset cocktail at a beachside bar in Malibu, Santa Monica or Venice.

- You have to be 21 to be allowed to drink and get into clubs
- The US has strict smoking laws in most states
