All the festivals to time your next Europe vacay for

Published October 13th, 2017

With so many massive music festivals throughout Europe to choose from, trying to find just the right one can leave you feeling a bit like Goldilocks. And because everyone’s music festival check lists are different, it can be a labyrinth trying to navigate the vibes of each.

Adding to that, if you’re already headed to Europe or planning on going, you’d be insane not to get in on the action of one of Europe’s next level festivals and the best time to enjoy them is of course during the European summer!

They make em’ supersized over there, so much so that you’ll be left wondering where they could possibly find so many punters! But look no further because we’ve chosen the eight biggest events that live up to the hype and are sure to make your European summer one to never forget.

We also know over here at SF that you don’t always go to a festival just for the music. Sure some bands are worth the froth and some are worth it if only for the #humblebrag.

But we both know there is so much more to the festival experience than just the music and these are the festivals to be adding to your bucket list not just for the Insta humblebrag but for the larger than life vibes that go come standard with each.

  1. V Fest is the Virgin sponsored festival that happens on the third weekend in August each year and is often sold out quickly. Interestingly it’s also held at two different parks simultaneously on sort of opposite sides of England. The artists perform at one location on the Saturday and then at the other on Sunday.

  1. Roskilde Festival happens each year in Denmark just outside of Roskilde, a city west of Denmark, and the largest festival in Northern Europe and with acts like The Weeknd, Arcade Fire and The xx performing this year - 2018’s June 30 - July 7 festival can be expected to be just as pumping.
