Restaurants & Shopping
Jl. Umalas 1, Gang Nook 1, Seminyak
Nook is one of the best places to go in Bali for beautiful looking (and tasting!) food amidst 360-degree rice paddy panoramas. Tucked away right next to a buzzing part of Seminyak, here you can escape to a paradise of peace and contentment - for the soul, the eyes, and the tummy. Tuck in to a fusion of Balinese, Indonesian and Western and say “suksma!” (ie. thanks!).
Bali Boat Shed
JL Kayu aya no.23A, Denpasar
Need swimmers ASAP? A summer frock for the beach? A breezy new night-time ensemble? Bali Boat Shed is one of the best shops in Bali for style that won’t cost a fortune. Find beautiful, colourful, summer-loving looks to debut on every rack. You’ll also love the decor - it’s kinda quirky on the inside, and on the outside the super colourful exterior makes it easy to spot so you won’t miss it.
Mount Lempuyang, East Bali
It’s one of the most Insta-famous places in Bali and one of Bali’s oldest temples. So yes, Lempuyang Temple is a Bali holiday must. To get there - when ‘there’ is 1,175m above sea level - that also means cool mountain forest adventures with a bit of a hike and one very steep (but very pretty!) staircase. And those views at the top? Totally worth it.
Jl. Labuan Sait No. 315, Padang-Padang
Ulu Cliffhouse is one of the most popular places in Bali RN with its sunny clifftop locale, world-class food and a legendary music setup with daily all-star DJs - plus its own in-house music recording studio. There’s also a 25m infinity pool, comfy perches all round and epic sunset vistas on tap. Need we say more?
Rock Bar Bali
Jalan Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran
It’s long been touted one of Bali’s best bars. Rock Bar Bali has also featured on global lists for its fancy cocktails and sunsets at an unbeatable spot 14 metres over the Indian Ocean. Picture-perfect? Yes. DJs? Yes. Accessible? Yes. For non-guests, you can still buy a day pass for a slice of the action.
Finns Beach Club
Jl. Pantai Berawa, Canggu
Soak up 150m of beachfront from the 30m infinity edge pool, the sun beds or the surrounding bars and dining. Finns Beach Club looks good from every angle. It also won’t blow the budget (phew!). We also love that the DJs start playing at 9am daily and even the swim-up pool bar has underwater speakers.
Gili T, Gili Islands
The Gili Islands are a popular day trip from Bali and even better if you can stay a night or two. Our pick? Gili Trawangan, or Gili T. Why? Because it’s the party island. We also love Gili T for this magical Insta opp - the famous Gili Trawangan swing at Ombak come sunset. Everybody say “weeeeeeee…”.
The Shala Bali
Jalan Sanggingan No. 90, Kedewatan, Ubud
No can do holidays without yoga? Lucky you’re in Bali...and The Shala Bali is one of the best spots in Bali for your regular yogi tune-up. It’s been voted one of Bali’s most beautiful yoga spaces, and it’s true. It’s a sanctuary in every sense, with various styles of yoga and various ayurvedic treatments too. The bliss feels even better than it looks.
