Treble Cone is the largest ski area in the South Island with 45 percent of the ski terrain rated as advanced or expert. Treble Cone Ski Resort also has the highest proportion of black runs in New Zealand (equal with Craigieburn club field). Intermediate riders also love Treble Cone Ski Resort for its steep leg-burning groomers. While it’s not as close (about a 90-minute drive away), Queenstown is still a favourite thanks to its wicked nightlife and access to sweet adventure activities like bungy jumping.
